RAVAGED TACLOBAN'S CRY

RAVAGED TACLOBAN'S CRY

(HAIKU 5-7-5)

Yolanda rampaged
in the Visayan region,
created havoc.

The ravaged city,
the beautiful Tacloban,
ruins and debris

The world worried sick
about their missing loved ones,
friends and relatives.

People were homeless,
trees and houses were flattened,
churches and buildings.

While others felt like
inside a washing machine,
strong winds blew hours.

Shocked a day after,
dead bodies lying in streets,
as death toll rises.

As Yolanda left
leaving Visayas undressed,
hungry and shuttered.

Cries and screams were heard,
dead bodies wrapped in plastics
mass burial's no rites.
